Blueprints
In early 2020 I began a set of smaller systematic drawings meant to be composed almost entirely of graphite pencils. I was in a state of transition having just moved to a new house, and the space I had to work in at the time was small so they worked well for the situation I had at the time. A lot happened between the time that they were all started to when they were finished. Covid lockdowns hit a couple months after the move, which spurred me into action building out the basement of the new house, which included my new studio. Over time I pulled out the small graphite drawings I’d started over a year ago and began to revisit and finish them. I call them blueprints from their schematic feel, and I have to say I’m very pleased with the way that they’ve grown over time.
