In this episode of Studio Sessions, my guest Letha Wilson uses a combination of sculpture and photography to create very distinctive works that often dwell on different locations out in the wilderness. Listen to the full interview on Big Red & Shiny by following the link below.
Studio Sessions: Letha Wilson on Big Red & Shiny
About Letha: Letha earned her BFA in Painting from Syracuse University in 1998, and her MFA in combined media from Hunter College in New York in 2003. She incorporates images from her wilderness photography into sculptural forms, either by folding or cutting and collaging the image, and in recent works creates full forms with an image on the surface. In other instances she creates full sculptures out of drywall reclaimed from scrapped gallery walls.
