I first met Manda Norris when I was a high school kid washing dishes back in 1998. I continued to work there on and off for a total of about 8 of the last 15 years, and have kept close ties with Manda and the dozens of other people we worked with through those years. It really is like a huge, extended family. The restaurant we worked at was a popular spot on Massachusetts Street in Lawrence, Kansas, and moved to a new location last November. In the former space, Manda hopes to open her own restaurant along with her husband, also a super close friend of mine, Sean Jolly. These are two awesome people that are dedicated to making Lawrence a better place to live, and are truly all about enhancing people’s connections to one another and making great food, and if there’s only one kickstarter you ever donate to make this the one, because these guys deserve it.
